Plateau State Commitment Secured

On 16th September 2025, the North Central Zonal Consultant of C-WINS, Dr. Isah Y. Vatsa, formally handed over the Governor of Plateau State’s commitment letter to the Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Raymond Juryit, in a ceremony witnessed by key partners including WHO, UNICEF, FOMWAN, and the Chigari Foundation, where Dr. Juryit reaffirmed the Governor’s dedication to providing the resources needed for the successful implementation of the campaign.

Advocacy Visit to the National Mosque

On September 11, 2025, the Social Mobilization Unit of the FCT PHCB, in collaboration with UNICEF, IVAC, AFENET, WHO, CHAI, and C-WINS, paid an advocacy visit to the National Mosque to seek support for the upcoming Integrated Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign in October. The team highlighted the symptoms and complications of both diseases and stressed that vaccination is the best prevention. In his response, the Imam of the National Mosque, Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, affirmed that safeguarding the wellbeing of Nigerian children is a priority, and proposed leveraging the Committee of FCT Imams Initiative as a wider platform for direct engagement and collaboration

All children, both male and female, from 9 months to 14 years old, are eligible. The vaccination campaign will start on October 4, 2025, and end on October 14, 2025.
