Prominent Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, is calling on parents and guardians across Nigeria to ensure their children receive the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine during the upcoming national campaign.

The MR vaccination campaign is scheduled to begin in October 2025 and will target children aged 9 months to 14 years. The vaccine will be provided free of charge at all government health facilities and is expected to be integrated into routine immunization going forward.

Sheikh Gumi emphasized the importance of protecting children from preventable diseases and encouraged families to take full advantage of this lifesaving opportunity.
