Traditional Leaders in Anambra State Pledge Support for Immunization Efforts
In a significant step toward improving child health outcomes, traditional rulers in Anambra State have pledged their full support for key immunization activities, including MNCH Week, National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs), and the upcoming Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine campaign scheduled for October 2025.
The engagement was organized through a strong collaboration between C-WINS, Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ASPHCDA), UNICEF, WHO, and NPHCDA. The forum emphasized the importance of community mobilization and traditional leadership in boosting routine immunization coverage and protecting children across Nigeria.
This partnership underscores the vital role of local leaders in shaping health outcomes and creating trust in public health initiatives.
