In a momentous and spiritually uplifting event, the Chairperson of Ohafia LGA, Hon. Mrs. Grace Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, paid a remarkable visit to the Assemblies of God Church, Ali-Udo District, Easter Camp ground. The occasion, marked by joy, prayers, and deep community engagement, brought together faithful members of the church and key stakeholders in the community.
Hon. Mrs. Grace Eleanya, received with warmth and admiration, used the platform to address critical issues of health and community welfare. In her speech, she emphasized the urgent need for collective participation in the upcoming Immunization Exercise for MRV and HPV, scheduled to run from October 2025 through January 2026. She passionately urged all residents of Ohafia LGA, both within and outside its borders, to play an active role in ensuring that every child is immunized and every family is informed.
“Our children are the future of Ohafia, and their health and protection must be our top priority,” Mrs. Grace declared. “This Immunization campaign is not just a government exercise—it is a communal responsibility, and I implore every mother, father, and guardian to be part of this life-saving mission.”
Beyond health, Mrs. Grace Eleanya reaffirmed her steadfast commitment to the advancement and empowerment of women in Ohafia LGA. She spoke glowingly of the First Lady of Abia State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, and pledged her unwavering support, alongside the united strength of the Women of Ohafia, to the First Lady’s ongoing initiatives aimed at uplifting women and safeguarding their welfare.
“Women are the backbone of our homes and communities,” she said. “With the visionary leadership of Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, we are witnessing a new dawn for women in Abia. I and the women of Ohafia stand firmly with her in this noble mission.”
